Broward County has several very serious elections occurring on August 24th. This election calls for the election / re-election of 6 of the 9 school board positions. We all try to engage as much as possible in our children's education and here is a way to help make a difference. Please ask yourself?
Do I know what district my kid's schools are in?
- Do I know who my current school representative is?
- Do I know what they are planning if elected for the next four years?
The GAC is not a political body and to that end we do not endorse any candidate.
We have created a questionnaire that was sent to the current (22) candidates for the 6 positions on the school board and we have posted their answers. We hope that you will take 10 minutes to review the answers and hopefully that this will lead to your learning more about your elected representative. Each candidate has been contacted electronically (several times) or telephonically. We were able to get responses from 19 of the 22 candidates and hope this information is helpful. It is very helpful to the GAC.
